Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at coahaus@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A head spa is a luxurious treatment focusing on scalp health, relaxation, and overall hair wellness. Using specialized massage techniques, professional products, and scalp analysis, we cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish the scalp while reducing tension and promoting healthy hair growth. It’s a facial for the scalp!

  • Mini Facial: A shorter, targeted treatment for hydration, exfoliation, and relaxation (20–30 minutes).
  • Regular Facial: A more comprehensive treatment addressing multiple concerns like deep cleansing, hydration, and anti-aging benefits (45–60 minutes).

For optimal scalp and hair health, we recommend every 4–6 weeks, adjusted based on your scalp condition, hair type, and wellness goals.

Head spa treatments stimulate blood flow, reduce tension, and nourish the scalp, creating a healthier environment for hair growth. Individual results may vary.

We use Milbon, a professional Japanese haircare line. Its formulas focus on scalp balance, hydration, strength, and long-term hair health.

Treatments range from 30–60 minutes, depending on your chosen package and add-ons like scalp analysis, massage, or blow-dry.

Yes! Many clients pair a head spa with color services, extensions, or blowouts. Head spa treatments should be booked 7 days before or after a color service.

Yes! Treatments are customized for all hair types and lengths to meet individual scalp and hair needs.

For clients with K-tip, tape-in, or other extensions, we do not recommend head spa treatments. The techniques used in a head spa, including massage and product application, can interfere with bonds, cause slippage, or damage extensions. To maintain the health and longevity of your extensions, we recommend scalp care treatments without extensions in place.

Yes! A head spa is perfect for post-extension care. After removing K-tip, tape-in, or other extensions, your scalp and natural hair may feel sensitive or dehydrated. A head spa cleanses buildup, nourishes the scalp, restores moisture, and promotes healthy hair growth, helping your natural hair look and feel its best after extensions.

Our head spa treatments are safe for pregnancy, focusing on relaxation and gentle scalp massage. We avoid any harsh chemicals or intense pressure points. Always consult your healthcare provider if you have any concerns or high-risk pregnancy conditions.

  • I have dandruff, psoriasis, or eczema. Can I get a head spa?
Yes, but we recommend a consultation first so we can customize the treatment and use products that soothe and protect your scalp.
  • I have sensitive skin or scalp irritation.
We adjust pressure, products, and treatment duration to ensure comfort and avoid flare-ups.
  • Can head spa treatments help with tension headaches or migraines?
Gentle scalp massage can relieve tension and improve circulation, which may help reduce headache symptoms, though results vary.
  • Are there any conditions that would prevent me from getting a head spa?
We do not recommend treatments for open scalp wounds, active infections, or severe skin conditions without prior approval from your healthcare provider.

Your scalp will feel refreshed, nourished, and relaxed. Hair may feel softer and shinier immediately, with long-term benefits from consistent care.
